I was told that most go Per Diem/Practical, which is what I did mostly for the vacation time and safety bonus. After a year, I will rethink this and possibly go Non Per Diem/Practical

HHG is better for shorter runs like on regional. OTR I would suggest practical.
Reason I say this: one example is East Point to Albany, GA. Either way they pay 166 miles. HHG pays more per mile. -
Haven't seen you post inn a while, how is it going with your trainer? Tomorrow is our last day for training and Monday we start orientation. I've got my trainer assigned and I'm ready to get out on the road. Let me know how it's going.
See you out there.

Hey harley, just got home for some home time. Training is going great! I have SO much to learn. I got about 5200 miles in my first 12 days out. I have learned a lot and and have quite a few areas to work on. Shifting is better but it seems like today i can shift with little issue and tomorrow I can't hit a gear. I also have a tendency to come in a little fast when getting off the highway but I am working on that as well.
My trainer is awesome...lots of patience and a lot of encouragement. I hope you get a trainer like this too...it makes your life a lot easier. Go in hungry and ready to learn because it is a lot to take in at one time.
