Also....When I ran my dumps....We had a Two hour "Show-up".....Four hour minimum....
Those were "Bargained Away" by the Bottom Feeders and, both Show-up and minimums were no longer paid by most contractors.....Anyone know if that changed back as well?

So I take it we don't have any DT O/O's from Cali on this forum?

I know one thing.....our fleet of 250 transfers can barely stay parked. I am pulling 60-70 hours a week and have been since March. It's been a busy spring, it should carry through until August which will get extremely busy again until Thanksgiving/Christmas.

I was a member of the CDTOA before I went into freight......
What are the rates like up in your neck of the woods?
Btw...Thanks for responding.... -
The owners are members of the CCTA and CDTOA, and some other contractor related organizations also.
Rates have really come up in the last few years. In 2010-11 the average rate was $85-88 per hour, more for paving or specialty work. Now for anything in the big cities is around $95 and rural areas are $90, more for paving, etc.Working Class Patriot Thanks this. -

With all the freeway work going on out here there are super 10s and demo end dumps everywhere hauling off grindings. Lots of family housing going up in the bay area too, specifically milpitas, san jose area.....always got end dumps hauling off stuff.

The bulk of our fleet is in the Orange County and Corona area....they cover it all down there and are very busy. I just don't know with what kind of work. I work in the Nor Cal area. I was down below the grapevine a couple times this month because we had loads going that way....lotta trucks running around.
