We are all suppose to be " PROFESSIONAL DRIVERS " And I read about all theses wrecks all over the map.
In MN, it is a no fault state, because accidents are avoidable and often operator error so THEY say who ever "THEY is ".
I really am disappointed, and I really have a grasp of why our insurance rates are high, look at all that has and /or had to be paid out,do to some one not paying attention.I think we all should be more careful and pay more attention,Look at at the crashes that are on here and thats not including the ones we did not read about.

Many years ago the Idaho State Police changed the wording they use. They no longer classify anything as an "accident". It's a crash, something or someone caused it. Few crash on purpose, most crash because of negligence.

The U.S. DOT just did a survey that showed 97% of the time when a CMV is involved in an accident with a Non-CMV the driver of the Non-CMV was at fault.

Anytime you think insurance companies are paying out a lot of money search the web and see how much profit these insurance companies make a year. Make sure you are sitting down when you do.

Yah i agree with ya.I can believe it cuz i see it a lot to on the road myself with distracted driving. I am sure they make a ton of money. I was complaining about it about a month ago about how they rip you off, but they sure get to pay out too

Can you link that article? I hear these stats range from 70% to 97% but I have never found a published study with hard numbers. Thanks.

And the other 2% of the time a truck driver lost their life because of the neglagance of some idiot car driver. The truckers family didn't get a 5 million dollar settlement or anything like the 4 wheelers get. Simply and utterly pathetic. Last study I seen was 85/15 seems to be about right and I can believe it with all the idiots we see. And 4 wheelers aren't the only idiots. I got passed by a Lincoln trucking driver yesterday on the interstate running 80 called me a ####### grain hauler and was complaining about me crawling up his ###. How could I have crawled up his ### when he passed me? Guess he could've been talking about being close to the back end of his trailer but that was because he was in my lane and I had my outside tires on the white line. Although I see bad 4 wheelers more than bad truckers its not just limited to small vehicles there are bad truckers too. He could've been having a bad day I guess. He was only making .98+fsc so he was burning more in fuel than he was making at 80 sucks to be him.

your profile says you arent a trucker, so i didnt know.................... someone thats been driving commercially for 17 years should understand that some accidents just arent avoidable (mostly due to 4 wheelers)
