Sounds crazy but did happen.
Rockview Mo where Cty M crosses over the crossed rail-line.
This spot is about 5miles west of Scott City Mo and about 1.5mi NE of Chaffee.
The best truck detour route is take I55 to exit 91 (where the truck stop is) and take that road Hwy AB west to the US77 roundabout and go south on 77 to Chaffee... 11.5 mile detour

Here's what I don't understand we as truckers take flack all the time for unsafe driving correct? correct! Trains are on fixed tracks, only have one path of travel unless they derail yet one train tbones another. Pathetic maybe the NTSB needs to start monitoring the railroads and leave us truckers alone just a thought. As much as I hate the railroad I am glad my brother in law wasn't on either one of those trains. However next time I see him he's going to take a lot of flack for this one. That's one shipment that's not going to make it anytime soon and I'm almost willing to bet trains won't be rolling over that section of track for another week or so.

trains don't have one path. there are switches to change tracks.
trains are supposed to be monitored though. they have traffic control just like planes do. least, they're supposed to.
get yourself a job that invovles working on or near train tracks. you'll have to do some safety class and videos before your legal to go to work.
