if you read all the posts. one says a trailer washout is only good 24 - 48 hours. so he washed out BEFORE the shipper. instead of AFTER the receiver.

Pulling a tank, half our miles are empty, paid for all miles of course. This week I deadheaded 1227 miles from my delivery in Kent Ohio to where I park my truck in Irving Tx. I haul shell lubricants out of Galina Park Texas, drive anywhere in the lower 48 and return to Houston empty. I live outside of Dallas and stop off for a minimum of a 34 hour each week. Really an easy job and I would recommend pulling a tank to anyone.

It probably just shows how little I know about tanker hauling but there are tanker washout companies all over the place. Maybe he was just reloading in FL but it seems to me that he would reload in LA after he emptied.

Ran a mt reefer from Burlington NJ to I believe it was Grand Island NE, anyways I remember going about 1500mi for a meat load.

Consider yourself lucky when you win the lottery and get a good few days of running to get an empty into an area that needs them. Also means there is plenty of freight coming out.

At least it wasn't from Poland, EU to Fresno CA.

Poland, EU ? You mean NJ ?

I would empty out in LA and deadhead back to FL to pick up a load but I would have to wash out some place close to where I was to be reloaded. I would be reloaded in Bradenton, FL and deliver back in LA, deadhead back the FL to washout and reload and so on and so forth for two years. It was a dedicated account.

Most people liken NJ to Poland.
