Brand new CDL in my back pocket just graduated from truck driving school. Three companies have expressed an interest in hiring me. Have a clean driving record, no tickets or anything last ten years. Never a felony of any kind,
1[SUP]st[/SUP] company is Averitt,
2[SUP]nd[/SUP] company is Transport America,
3[SUP]rd[/SUP] company is Roehl
All three are top of the industry companies according to what everyone says and what I can find out about them on the internet. I have researched all three, and like what I have found out. Have read everything I can find about them, and what all you people here at Truckers Report have to say.
I would like a little advice from you knowledgeable truckers as to which company you think would be best to go with. I am still at a loss as to which one. Once the decision is made, I plan to commit with them for an entire year, good or bad.
Would like to drive over the road in all 48 with a dry van, and don't particularly care to be home every weekend.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Have some job offers, a little advice please.

Roehl, the best on that list,my opinion.
Dark_Majesty_06, 123456 and DrtyDiesel Thank this. -
Also look at LandAir in Greenville. -
I would also look at Schneider and Crete.

I started with roehl and worked there over a year. I enjoyed it while I was there, then left for a local job (that was a joke).
I'd recommend roehl through and through

averitt express, if you can weasel your way into their ltl division, then go for it.

Averitt then Roehl. Averitt has APU's on their trucks, multiple job options and its considered a good company to which you can have a career and retire from. Many people gain experience in order to come in to Averitt. Check out their section:

KHDrtyDiesel Thanks this. -
Maverick has a flatbed division in East TN, maybe Johnson City.
Burkhart Enterprises in East TN runs tankers.
Melton Truck Lines is a good flatbed option.
Check some websites on the companies everyone has mentioned; lots of good options for you, and some good pay and benefits packages. -
