Since things seem to be turning around, you guys should band together and fight hard for you pay and pension. Like usual YRC will be claiming a loss come talking time. Don't be scared of them. If they try saying "we'll go out of business if you don't vote our way" say too bad!

haha no problem guess just a misunderstanding. I thought you were apart of the layoffs. Working one day a month I would leave as well no matter how good a job is. And I doubt the guys will even try to fight for everything back, seems like the teamsters members are starting to get too soft.

@radman I saw the contract a source showed me, it did say 3/31/2013 but was then extended to 2015. From what I hear we are getting tht 15% back next contract. I hope so it kills me every week seeing that minus... wish they wouldnt put it in the check.

well gotta get ready to hit the road soon, had an awesome weekend, wish it was longer though, next time I take a personal on sunday LOL

Hi all!!, I'm new to this site. Just got my CDL last month and have applied for YRC driving teams, I have an interview next week at the utah terminal. Kind of nervous about it as of every interview I've done before, lol. A few questions. Does someone knows how teaming works?schedule like? I can go solo after? how's the interview process like? how long until they get back to you with an acceptance responce? insight will be appreciated, thank you.

There is a guy on here who does teams. The hiring process takes a few weeks, took them about 3 for me. Pretty much for teams you will be out the week then have time off. Eventually you will be able to go solo day cab once you get some time in. I don't know too much about teams though. He will be on here soon I'm sure. He's normally quite busy. I do know you will make crazy money doing teams

ACH, I wish they would have laid me off. I was a casual then and I guess it wasn't a priority. I was still working there for 7 months on the weekends cause I got that job at FedEx express. I only worked 3 times in that 7 months though. I finally got sick of FedEx and went OTR again. Hadn't heard from YRC in a long time. Then one day in Utah, it was like 11/2007, they called me into work lol. I said I was in Utah and never heard from them again. I knew a lot of guys that left to never return. I just say I was laid off cause it's easier.

As a causal they can do whatever they want to you. They dont even have to call you back if your on layoff. Once you make the list then your locked in and no matter what they have to call you back. I heard a few guys who have told me they worked 1 day a month back in 07... Dont blame you for being sick of fedex.

Well Im pooped. Did the 111 and 126 combo, went back, sat a hour, then did a 126 and 112 combo... got 417 miles and over 2.5 clock time. Then my gf made me start the insanity workout, at least shes doing it too(again). time to hit the sack

Reddaway. Yes I'm back at YRC. Technically I never stopped working for them lol! In 2007 I never quit and was never let go. Then again, I guess since I was a casual, it didn't really matter.
