So, I've been running well lately 2900+ for a couple of weeks now. A solid paycheck makes me happy. I just ran from PA to UT and forgot to copy my ppwk for the drop! Oops. Guard won't give me the paperwork back. (Ugh, freakin rookie!) we walk to the office to "get a copy." Night Security Supervisor says, "We don't do copies here." Yeah, sigh. Give me my paperwork I'll take the dropped trailer go 6 miles to the shop get a copy and be right back. Ran there and back and what do you know the office people are here... So I'm sittin here waiting on the trailer and they'll probably give me another copy for my records. The thing that sucks is, "will I get red-tagged at Central?" I need to break for 8 hours and somehow make a 1500 appointment, it's 0621 now. If they hurry I'm good. Hope everybody made it through the weekend ok!

 

Got switched to the hotel last night. Before we did. we heard rumours about bed bugs there. so we stripped down our bed. looked under mattress. Nothing. woke up this morning. got my shower. went to fix my bed. Sure enough. bed bug crawling around. Didn't say anything to front desk yet. don't want them spraying while my stuff is in there. also there was a guy from the class ahead of me who's room was infested. they tore out mattresses and everything.

So has anyone dealt with this at the country inn? Any advice on how to deal with it? I don't want to make too much noise. I'm not an employee yet. and I'm past my five day grace period. I was thinking of talking to Karen. but who knows how much that'll do.

I hope your stuff wasn't in there. Cuz now you're a walking contagion. Stay out of the VIP rooms. And notify somebody immediately. People freak out for a reason those things are a SERIOUS problem.

Hey fellow Buckeye! U had OSU shirt on @ hotel. I had the infested room. U do want room sprayed & all clothes washed. No other option. If not you'll be a carrier into someone's truck. And you'll be miserable. I'm a horseman & been in everything. This was not fun.

 

Well I just talked to chris and he said the magic words. "Detention AND layover." Hopefully that means they're gonna take care of me, seing as this probably cost me 7-900 miles easy.

 

He needs to do something that's for sure!! I just hope it's close to what you lost in miles...

 

Of course it wont be! But I want something better than the typical $75/day, since that doesn't even cover fixed.
