as far as a male hitting on you is irrelevant ,women are hit on by males all day long.we don't go around smacking or threatening them,well not always..lol we just look at them,and politely say ARE YOU KIDDING ME?... Lol just kidding...I have a friend that is very handsome and gets hit on by gay males all the time,and always replies with class and says" sorry I'm taken" and moves on. He has no issues with it and is flattered when anyone hits on him,male or female,he says it doesn't effect him in a negative way.but he is very secure and doesn't have any hang ups...

 

"sorry I'm not gay" ... that's a good thing to remember when some greasy smelly trucker tried to hit on the ladies... whether they're gay or not!

You don't have a 'right' to disagree with my viewpoint. Freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom from speech. That's what I meant by "imposing your way of life on others". You're never going to get everyone to accept you for who you are. Stop trying.

Uh.. yes. Yes, I do. I have a right to disagree with anybody's viewpoint, whether I keep it to myself or join the conversation. Some manners of my disagreement may not be allowed (with a shotgun, for instance), but that does not disallow the disagreement itself.

Are you trying to imply that if someone wants to exercise their freedom of speech then EVERYBODY MUST LISTEN? Not turn away, not tune them out, not stop reading the forum, or the news article, or what-have-you? Because that's dead wrong, too. Freedom of speech means that the government or any of its officials does not have the legal right to shut down unpopular speech. It does NOT mean that other free citizens MUST listen.

Your "imposing your way of life on others" looks to me an awful lot like simply "being open about who they are". To me, "imposing your way of life on others" means passing laws requiring certain kinds of behavior or forbidding others. How is my telling you about MY life imposing it upon you? Conversely, how is your stating your viewpoint, while stating that nobody has the 'right' to disagree with it, let alone not listen to it, NOT imposing your way of life on me?
