How 'bout a Giltner update? I miss reefer...

 

I also was hoping for more news on this outfit but I do see a lot of new equipment and never see em sitting much. Who knows???

 

Giltner drivers?

 

I have been with Giltner for almost two years. Good pay , they run 15 western states.

 

How many trucks are they running? Major lanes? All Cascadias? Orientation details? Majority of freight frozen or fresh? Trailer fleet newer or mixed? Much Denver? Northern California? Thanks for any and all info!

 

Ok they have over 200 trucks, lots of I-5, all cascadia fleet, new trailers 2110 and newer. Two day orientation. Both produce and frozen.regular runs to Denver.

It seems to be hard to find giltner drivers here. Any more input from drivers would be great. Are they on par with other companies running the western states?
Whats their idle policy? I talked to a rep briefly who said they don't use apu's anymore and use idle air, but didn't really go into details after that. What about when idle air isn't available?

 

When in a company truck and the temperature calls for it, idle that puppy!

 

I know nothing about Giltner but I am enjoying working for Arlo Lott in Jerome ID.
