CDL Training Center in Utah. Does anyone know anything about them, or have heard anything about them? They don't seem to have any reviews and the first and only thing I heard was when someone on here recommended I check them out. I had not seen them when looking for a school. They cost about half of what Roadmaster costs, and they have you do all of your endorsements, except for school bus. I have put in the application and am waiting to hear back but was hoping to get some insight in the meantime.

Meanwhile, Prime has notified me that my application has been approved and they'd like me to go to orientation in Missouri.

    Thoughts?

Hello EV87, I have choosen PRIME, because of the hands on training, one on one teaching, and a track record of 72% graduation rate, that better than some college programs

You raise some good points. I've heard mostly very positive things about Prime and they have good training and people actually stay with them. It sounds pretty promising. I'm leaning towards them over that other school... Knowing I have a job lined up is a good feeling, and knowing I'm not taking out thousdands of dollars in debt is an even better feeling. How long have you been driving?

I am not a driver yet, leave for PRIME the second week in June, only have a lot of book knowledge and a permit, this site is good, very informative, look around enjoy, hope all goes well for you, you said something about the cost, train with prime, and work with them for a year after training, all is forgiving...

Sounds good. You're ahead of the game. I'm going to go test for my permit later this week. I'll be starting June 4th :)

You can tour any school before you sign up and pay $$$$$$$. A one week class with day cabs and 28' trailers isn't advised.

What do you mean? Does the CDL training center offer a one week class? They told me it was 4 weeks. I called them today and told them I'm no longer interested anyways... It's been almost a week and they haven't gotten back regarding whether or not I was approved for financing... They said it was due to the financial institution taking long, but oh well.
