I don't know about that. Sure there is a lot of trash on Craigslist but I also found some pretty good gigs on there. You just have to know how to weed out the BS,

 

if you live in a single wide, sleep with a double wide, have no concern with making good money as long as you can feed your fat wife and pay off those rims you bought at renta center on time. Hogan is the place for you.
Granted, some of the dedicated contracts are pretty good but HTI (general otr) is terrible. The dispatchers and management are some morally corrupt individuals. They will lie to you just for the sake of it behind the glass window. Treat them like crap if you want anything done around there. Cuss them out in person or over the phone. Type in capital letters and use alot of punctuation......... It cost them money. The more you irritate them the less they want to talk to you and give you what you want.

I worked for them for 8 months and had to withdraw $3000 from savings just to maintain the lifestyle I am a custom to. I started with Dollar General, good money, should be more but hard work. I got injured and had to go to OTR. There "I" let them screw me blue. My own fault I should never had let them. Low low pay. Low low miles. No respect. Basically you will be hauling a 53ft billboard around. They don't want to be a trucking company they want to be a leasing company like Penske.

One other thing if you like to be threatened this is the place for you. During orientation, which you are not being paid for, a tooth less woman will brag about how she will mess with your DAC report if things don't go their way. They also talk about fining you if you neglect to do certain things that is more than likely miss communication on their part.

I no long work for those maggots and work for a private fleet loving life. I have been selectively recruiting good drivers exclusively from Hogan until I make that $3000 back. Hey Craig guess who this is???

 

"Drivers" mags are thinly veiled advertising - and worthless for research, message boards are primarily entertainment, but are more useful.

Craigslist is a free ad site, a spam haven, maybe a good place to find used furniture - but not a wise place to seek employment, the downsides outweigh the upside by far.

A jackhammer is a tool too, but you wouldn't use it to fix a leaky toilet.
