Thanks for the reply... I dont think I would like to do team out of chicago heights but some questions are.... How long does it take to get a steady run or have it so im not on call all the time? I used to work the Dock at cgb in Chicago Ridge,IL before the merger and it was a pain to be on call for 2 years... As a low man what terminals can I be expecting to see leaving out of chicago heights? Benefits start after 90 days? your are in the union after 90 days also right? When were the last lay offs in Chicago heights? Are there 2 boards for line haul and for P and D? Can you switch or once you start on one your stuck? Thanks in advance...

That's more up skinny truckers dept, he can help out with those questions about Chicago as he's from there. I will say I have been at my terminal for 3 months and got a bid. Still on call but I'm able to plan ahead since I normally finish Thursday night Friday morning.
Man I gotta say I hope I don't look and act like some of these guys at these terminals when I'm older. Missing teeth, grouchy, huge etc... -

did 157 to 111, of course its foggy as ever so I could barely see 10 ft in front of me, just had an off day too, the truck this morning was all messed up, and it was a 2009! Normally those Yellow Units and the 885/785 roadways are the best units mechanically wise. But I finaly got to see my friend at 111 when I worked with him at CWF. He got to keep his senority from the 19 years before the layoff, so hes happy. HE told me you guys think YRC is bad, try working for UPSF, cant turn truck on without seat belt, if you idle too long your written up, dont blow the horn before backing your written up, work 6 hours they send you home. He was on a dock bid 3am-11am and they would send him driving at like 9am for deliveries, and places that were 45 min away... Gad they didnt hire me then too LOL. HEs a dock worker at 111 like he was at Roadway before the merge. My other friend from my terminal has run into him as well(another CWF)
Went back, then did another 145 turn. I swear people in NJ and New England dont know how to drive, not smart cutting off a truck in wet weather... Came home, did the insanity with the woman and now time for bed... night all -
Chillin in Detroit. Been runnin hard. On my 5th bed I think.
