Newest Update. CR England is now refusing to give my father in law any money from any of his accounts. reserve since his is unable to work. they are saying they need to use his maintence account to help fix his truck, however, he cannot have access to that because " for all they know, he wrecked the truck on purpose " ...Looking for an attorney with CRE experiance.. anyone know of one?
-
This is something new, a fresh slyness that doesn't surprise me in the least.
Call OOIDA and ask for legal advice. If there is a piece of paper your father-in-law signed that allows them to do this, he's pretty much dead in the water. I suspect this is the case, as they go by the book at that outfit when they screw people. And if they can screw you legally, look out. -
So basically your making about 30 cent per mile for the driver. Who would want to sign up to make less pay.

I have a year in at cr england and I will refrain from pointing out all that is unfair with the company, I was lucky my step dad is a truck driver and told me he would break my arms if i signed a lease so i choose to go company the money sucks I have no doubt the fork lift drivers that load me make more then I do but I knew what I was getting into I knew what to expect I didnt believe a word of the crap the shoveled at me. From day one my goal has been to get 2 accident free years in at which time the bill from my swift training will be paid for and I can move on the fact is all of these big companys suck they are rich greedy pigs that have no problem keeping a system in use that is borderline slave labor its all about money "their money" but you have to start somewhere so I will keep my mouth shut my doors closed and keep rolling down the highway until I have proved myself worthy of working for a company that cares whether I have money for food.

I went all the way to Utah. I tried to go through a company called c.r. england. I quit my job and took a greyhound all the way to salt lake city, utah for training. But after being there for only 5 hours, they said that I was not qualified. Seeing as though I am only 22 years old and I had 2 moving violations in the same year. My recruiter failed to let me know this. So yea don't believe trucking jobs like these its all ######## and I was hanging around the c.r. england headquarters for a day and I heard way too many stories about the trucking industry. Not good ones at all. They had people waiting there for days just to get a load to run. and they had people waiting around for trainers to finish there program so they can become a company driver. and everyone there thought leasing a truck was just a joke. so be advised to watch out for these trucking companies. they promise you great pay. but its a lot of ########. totally not worth it.

Hee-hee. Another one finds out the hard way about C. Our. England Advert.
Keep us posted on your situation, Shaun. You have been enlightened in only one trip. Consider yourself lucky if this lesson costs you only the price of a bus ticket. What others have lost there will stagger your mind. Just look around the web for their testimonies.
Now the only question is "Are they gonna try to screw you somehow?"
My guess is YES. -
Well, I am with you, buddy. I am starting training in Salt Lake City in a couple weeks for CR England, and I am trying to stay away from all this negativity I have been hearing about them here. I am going to be brand new to the trucking industry and if this company is as bad as they say, well, I'll have to learn the hard way, I guess, because they are the best offer I have gotten and I have researched many places so far. And if they are that bad, well, then I'll leave for something better after I put my time in with them, that's all. For now, I'm stickin. And I am glad I saw your post - after reading all the bad things about CR E, it's nice to see something good!

PS, I did try SWIFT, but when I called them, they said they don't hire from my part of the country. I guess they think we're all a bunch of Yankee hoodlums here on Long Island. LOL

I havent laughed like that in a long time. thanks alot guys.
in all truthfullness, if its workin out for you there, thats fantastic. glad its working for you there, hope it keeps working
-
I hope it works out. Just be sure to come back and tell us how it goes. Don't fall off the earth and disappear if and when you find out all those hundreds of 'negative' testimonies turn out to be dead on. If you do disappear, we'll have to assume the worst and chalk you up to another hard-way learner who crashed and burned at good ol' CRE.
