Hey guys. Any Prime drivers live in Va? More specifically the Hampton Roads or Middle Peninsula areas? If so, is there much freight that comes thru here? I have seen a few trucks drive by, but not alot. Was just wondering how often you get to come home. Also, what terminal are you based out of. Thanks

    Yeah it isn't fun either!!!

OP there should be plenty of local jobs for you there; if you have a truck stop nearby inquire within

There are a few jobs locally, but I don't have my cdl yet. I went to school for a few classes and it wasn't a good experience with that particular school. I am looking at Prime because of the 1 on 1 training for the cdl. Hampton Roads driving isn't so bad if you know ways to get around it:biggrin_25519:

We deliver at the MDV warehouse, pick up at a cold storage on the west side. There is Smithfield, Busch, Lumber Liquidators- to mention a few- further up the peninsula, and we have places up in the tidewater area as well. You won't have a problem getting hometime when you want it.

    airforcetoo Thanks this.

That sounds like a winner. When do benefits start such as insurance?

It used to be 90 days for new drivers. Annual free change period is May, but you can add or drop dental anytime.
