Ive got a few $3 plus p/m loads from Maverick. To beat all, they were lumber loads too. They were even polite to me when they had to give in to my price. Paid within 1 week. Trust me...NEVER count out the megas. They have contracts too cover too and dont ALWAYS have trucks in the areas. Be safe out there drivers.

I tried them when I first got started in this business. I now use 123loadboard, and Internet Truck Stop.

I've been talking to a few lumber companies in the Great Lakes forest region who have been struggling with getting the trees from stump to mill.

I'm thinking that I may make a load board specifically for flatbeds, but also a mobile app so you can find loads wherever you are.

i also was thinking I'd like to automate it so you can just accept a load and have all of the appropriate paperwork saved on the back end to avoid all the phone calls.

and lastly adding a feature that would allow the shipper to mark the load as received and then have the price of the load (minus my 3% cut) directly deposited into the truckers account. So ideally you'd get paid within 3 days of dropping off the load.

thoughts? Worthwhile? Something any of you may want to help design?

Sooooo... you think a truck driver is gonna actually give you their bank account info for direct deposit? Glad I didnt fall off the turnip truck yesterday. Good luck with that. Lots of drivers have gone under with that suckers bet too.

Well, they wouldn't actually give it to us - they'd give it to dwolla when registering with them.

    https://www.dwolla.com/

It's basically a money service like paypal, but instead of charging like 2.75% for a transaction they only charge 25 cents. When the shipper is ready they would mark the shipment as received and dwolla would handle the withdrawal/deposit of it.

Sooooo... you never got a wire transfer? This is how the big boys operate, instant funds with no chance of a charge back. Once its deposited its yours.
