I was playing around with GetLoaded just for experience. A few questions....
    here is an example..

    [h=2]Overview[/h]Age (hh:mm):15:51Shows:30Clicks:0Pickup Date:06/03Delivery Date:—Origin:Three Forks, MTDestination:Waterford, NYTrip Mileage:2,253.0 milesTrailer Type:VanAdd'l Equipment:—

it looks like Landstar is the main broker. How did they end up with this load way up here????
If a new O/O calls the dispatch and says I want to haul ..do you have to have some kind of relationship with Landstar or not???
Will Landstar negotiate the price and take the leftover for themselves???what about their own O/O people??
Will they have to see your truck first if your not one of their O/Os??
Are they supplying the van or not???
It says the pick up gate is 6/3 what if no one wants this load by that date???
will they deposit the settlement in your bank by wire??? like Keybank???
how long will it take to see the deposit??
    thanks for the info..

The load info should have the agents phone number call them. The other thing with get loaded, most of the time if you see a land star load on it it's usually because a landstar bco didn't want it. This could be for a number of reasons, pay area it's going to, most of the time especially with van work you're going to have a hard time getting back out of the northeast. If you don't like the pay, negotiate, the least he can say is no.

landstar has had a load since friday at least. picking up in PA and going to bronx NY. 180 miles.

i thought the west was bad. but i never sat like i just did in the NE. 2 days. with a step.

the loads on the board are for anyone to take. (approval) and landstar has freight all over the country. but if there own BCO'S don't want it.

does the load come in their van?? or do you have to have your own???
how do you tell if you need your own trailer whatever kind it is..or if you just need your tractor...
    What is a BCO??
Does the broker always try to make some money on top???

A bco is the o/o, you need to call. I doubt it would be preloaded if its on getloaded. So you probably need your own trailer. If it pays good enough count on bouncing to pa or Ohio at least. If you have your own rights you might want to check into leasing on, they have lots of freight and would pay you more for running your own numbers.

As an O/O chances are your running loads for a few different companies. Think about how much it would cost if you took a trailer 400 miles to deliver and had to take it 400 miles back before you get your next load. I don't like pulling trailers that someone else used, abused, and left for dead.

Some times when you lease into a company you end up pulling there trailers.

For the last 7 years I have pulled 4 different trailers. The first one I pulled till I no longer wanted to play with the old warn out reefer unit. I pulled around a van that had disk breaks to see how it would work with a truck that had drums. I bought new reefer to replace the first reefer. I was asked to run a has-mat rout for 2 weeks by my dispatcher; part of the deal was to use the guys trailer that was putting his truck in the shop.

Yes brokers take a cut of the cash. They try to take a good cut of the cash so you need to ask for better rates and be ready to walk away. A lot of load boards broker loads from other load boards; so you might have a few brokers taking part of the pie before you get the crumbs.

I worked for 2 years moving trailers from yard to yard I would red tag 1 out of ever 10 trailers I pulled when I dropped them off. 1 in 25 trailers I would take back to the dock, red tag and get the load transferred to a better trailer. My boss tried to get me off his pay roll and thought safety should be paying me.
