Hey it sure beats working. After going to Harvard for three years how could I want to do anything else?

Started this career in 1982 with the US ARMY then got my CDL in 1992 and never found a reason to leave.

I have worked at home for last 3 years. The best part was the commute, 10 feet. Prior to that in an office and plane travel for 10 years. Back driving 2 months and finally feel free again. It's like a giant weight has been lifted off my shoulders. And when I am done driving, I go home and no one calls to bother me, after hours or on weekends.

Good for you. I did a short stint at a crappy transportation outfit that would call me on Saturdays to do a load on Sunday. Or on Fridays asking me to work Saturday. It was like the trucking version of Office Space.

I get paid to do something I love. I really don't even consider it work, except those days when my tarps and straps are frozen...

Money. I live in TN and can't find steady local gig that's worth doing. I would love nothing better than to drive back and forth from Nashville to Memphis or Knoxville everyday on beautiful, smooth I-40.

Gotta let the other state's roads beat the crap out of me and my truck because the guys around here will work too cheap. Sleeping in filthy, loud truckstops just sucks!
