Let's see... Roehl pays you the week after you complete the load. Roehl doesn't get paid for 30 days which is the typical time frame in the transportation industry. So, explain to me why Roehl would want to spend money (buy scanners) just so you could send in the trip sheets faster? If you send it in later, then they pay later. Let's then keep "their" money longer. Something that you guys seem to forget, Roehl pays you with "their" money. The money for that trip doesn't come in till later, 30 days or more later.

Again what difference does it make? I'm not arguing for scanners in the truck, I'm asking what difference does it make for them to pay you a week later? So what do they care if they pay you this week, or next week? Still the same.

They still are paying for fuel and all other truck related expenses including office expense regardless of when the paperwork is turned in. They are not keeping money longer, they are spending more and waiting longer to get it back.

They want thise trips scanned within 2 days or better. They cant bill customer until they have scans. Hold a few trips for a week or two and see if you don't get a call.

I think from my understanding(start with roehl jun 17) is they use transflo but they don't allow using the phone app. And if you use one of the "phone scanners" and then email it they want the attachment in tiff format...which so far I haven't been able to find at least an iPhone app that can do that. Another option I found is use a iPhone (I'm sure android has similar) faxing app which cost about 15 bucks for a month subscription . Don't know if any roehlies have any other advice. I'm trying to get a system in place now so once I'm out there I have it ready to go

Couple points, the longer roehl doesn't have to spend money on payroll, the more interest they make on that money, and say what you want but I was management in a multimillion dollar company, I know have they think. I wouldn't hold my breath on scanners in the trucks, why spend money when pilot and loves does it for free.I fax my trips from home if I need the pay that week otherwise I scan when I launch. I have had trips over a week old several times and never heard a word, I doubt Roehl waits for the trips to be scanned to bill.
