I drove for KLLM as a lease purchase driver until Nov 2012 and decided to try and go back to school (college). But because the college down here keeps dicking me around with out of state tuition (a whole other story) I am thinking about returning to the road since I took a HUGE pay cut coming off of it....

I have 2 years (and a month) experience but never bothered to get my hazmat. I have a 2 year old Akita who has grown up on the road (see my outdated signature below for older pics) and m not willing to let go of him to return to the road (he's my kid, dog owners will understand). Clean MVR, no DUI's. I will be relocating to New Mexico in a few months (right now I am south of I-4 in Florida (where CDL's go to die of boredom).....

Any ideas? I would LOV to find something local or dedicated. Not opposed to moving to a different area. So any insight and opinions will be greatly appreciated....

Houses & rent are a lot cheaper in Las Vegas also. No personal income tax in Nevada.

    Pet friendly :

Melton Truck Lines plus trucks have APU's. Good benefits package also.

Watkins & Shepard - unless they've change their pet policy. Also have a terminal in Las Vegas.

There are alot of "pet friendly" companies around today . Google "truck jobs with pet policy . We do & get alot of listings , most do requier a non-refundable deposit . Good luck .

    Welcome back Romans612,

I was reading a KLLM post the other day, and I was wondering what happened to the guy that used to post about being a L/P driver for KLLM.

Good luck on your relocation, and getting back into trucking.

I'm a huge animal lover Roman.I have a ####er spaniel.I won't go with any company that dont have a pet policy. You have a beautiful dog.My brother had an Akita and had to give him to a farm because his place at that time did'nt allow pets.More and more companies are getting rid of the pet policy because drivers ruined it for the ones that do take care of the trk with pets. But you'll find a company im sure.
