He probably has a lot of oil coming out the purge valve as well, air compressor is shot.

We had a Volvo with a D13 465 pissing oil out the drains in the tanks. Went through the system a bit more and the air dryer was CAKED with crudded up oil. Ended up changing out dryer, compressor and governor and all is well now and good for another 3-400km of city abuse.

If its gear oil the you have plugged breathers in your rear axles.

I agree with the others, the air compressor is probably worn out. I went through this last year with one of our oldest trucks. The air dryer wasn't working properly, when I drained the tanks a ton of oil came out. Checked the air dryer and oil oozed out of all of the fittings. I ended up changing out the air compressor, governor, air dryer, and cleaned out the lines as best as I could.

great info all thanks. its my truck fisher guy is talking of. its for sure oil it went all over my exh elbow and driveway. the thing is I was parked on a steep incline down hill. the pass tank really poured it out since the valve is on the end of the tank pointed down. the other tank is reverse and had very little. could this be from a previous problem and this oil has just sitting in the bottom of this air tank..

Its possible does your compressor build air normal or is it slow is it the original because if it is I would venture to say its the problem if the compressor has been changed then its possible it was from the old one ..does it spit oil out the air dryer if so again id say its bad..thats what mine was doing I changed everything and no more oil
