Glad I moved over to Poly Trucking

I'm needing to pass thru the Grand Prairie yard with this load. I haven't done a pass through before. Will I need to call anyone Pryor to going in? I just want to go in and fuel and take a break. Anything special I need to do? I'm guessing it's no big deal but thought it might be good to check with some of you on here. Thanks for any information you can provide.

 

Wish I could help you on specifics but I am not sure. I did hear a guy on the CB when I was last there that said something to what you need to do regarding fueling but I don't know the end result. Perhaps you would need a continuation which you might be able to get from night dispatch? Good luck.

 

If you only want to fuel: arrive at gate & contact security via cb & say " truck xxxx fuel only". They will acknowledge & let you in. On the way out contact security again with same info & they will let you out. You don't need to go across scales outbound. You need not contact any office personnel.

If you want to fuel & spend the night you need to send a request for "Continuation" via QComm, or call Compliance or backhaul to have your name put on the "Continuation" list. When you arrive at the inbound gate tell security "this is so & so on a continuation". When you leave, repeat the process without crossing outbound scales.

Hey JD, I was able to get in and out at the yard today with no problems. Everything went just as you said. I told them on the CB I was just passing thru for fuel. They let me right in. I got all my business taken care of and came back out with no problem. All worked out well. Thanks again! Take care out there.

 

Bah, missed my 14K mile month but did manage to turn 13, 986 miles Still haven't managed to scrape a lick of paint though.

 

Hey y'all, got a relative that works for Poly, and there is a rumor going around that your pay will be increased to .50 cents a mile to cover the fact that they are dropping the company health insurance, so you can get Obamacare. Like I said, a rumor at this point....anyone know anything?

 

I've heard nothing about a raise or lose of insurance.

 

Let's hope as I am rolling the dice with no insurance anyway although I may need some after scraping lead paint for two days

 

Hope you're wearing some kind of respirator mask, Majestyk! Dangerous stuff, the lead paint. Well, if anyone hears anything, if you wouldn't mind posting on here I'd appreciate it.
