Hi, my name's amber & me and my girlfriend are going to be going to CRE Richmond, IN location. Any good or bad things to say about them? Also, anyone who has any tips or pointers for me please feel free! We are nervous but very excited and keeping an open mind to all opinions! We will be driving as a team so one question I have is, Will we be doing OTR training with each other plus a trainer or will they seperate us?
Leaving for CR England in Richmond, IN. in 2 days....never driven a stick shift

They will have you guys train together. The main thing is that you both get your permits at the same time..Study hard before you go so that you can make that happen otherwise, you will be training at different times.

How is the instructors/trainers & equipment at the Richmond Indy terminal?
-
I liked all of the instructors they were all pretty cool. The only thing i didnt like was that the backing instructors showed you what to do once stuck around for a little bit but then you hardly ever saw them again. Pretty much student teaching student. If you needed something they would come show you again if you could find them..lol i cant say i have had a bad experience with CRE it is what you make of it i geuss.

They talk about a lease yet?
-
I'm kind of like you leannweaver32. I am trying to go into this CRE experience with an open mind. I know a lot of people have negative things to say, but then again I have also see a few (only a few) posts about good experiences with CRE. Basically, it is what you make it & i'm going to try and make it a positive experience for me and my girlfriend.

I have only heard them mention the lease option once when we did the orientation for being hired on at CRE. They also tlked about team driving and going solo. I didnt feel pressured in anyway to take the lease option. Some of the instructors even said it was a bad idea to lease if you dont know the business. Might be a different story once im hired on though. Geuss i will see.

Im sure ppl from englad know of , or read this site so they might be adjusting their angle. But we'll see if when you hire on and they all of a sudden have no company trucks, if oull get desperate and lease.. I think this was what a cousin of mine did. Got a brand new shiny hood a few years back. Didnt turn out too well for him.

When I finished my phase 2 training, my tc asked if I planned to lease or go company so that he would know which route to go with me. If they don't have a company truck available (wasn't a problem for me) you can team drive and make money that way until you get a truck. They never pushed me to lease a truck..
