I see this for sale on E-Bay, will this kit allow me to access the c-13 ECU for troubleshooting and fault code reading?
The engine is a 2005 S/N KLB24262, I assume one would not be able to download software updates from CAT?
We just want to be able to do our own troubleshooting, would this give us the same access as the Cat service techs would have to our engine when we take it to their shop.??
The truck is an International 9200. Thanks...

That is the adapter only, not the Cat ET software. If you can buy the ET software (which Cat probably wont allow it), it'll be around $700.
For good bang for the buck, contact www.pfdiagnose.com for options. If wont do some of the cat specific diagnostic tests like cylinder cutout, but will read faut codes on all engines, ABS and more. It'll do everything the average do-it-yourselfer needs to do.Lonestar Thanks this. -
Is there any aftermarket software available that will work on the Paccar dash ECU?
-
Not that I know of. Paccar ESA is sold through paccar dealers for a about $800. It is a really good deal because it comes with a Nexiq USB Link with is about $800 normally by itself. So if you don't have a connection device, it's basically free with the connection device. If you already have one, then it sucks. Currently, Nexiq is the only connection device that Paccar ESA supports. It also is the most popular, so everything else supports it also, so once you have it, you can get other software that will use it.SL3406 Thanks this.
