The truth about all trucking companies is that unfortunately you have to work for them 6 months or so to find out if they are a fit for you. You will always find people that love or hate the same company. Everyone has different reasons why they work for a particular company. Call it an occupational hazard of trucking.
I had what I thought was the perfect driving job once. 4 days a week and $1400. Dedicated.. great.. 2 years and farmed out the freight to JB and that was it.
Most people in this industry end up working for a lot of different companies and very frustrated. . One of the worst problems we all face out here.
Let's just try to support each other no matter who we drive for..
Off my soap box now..thank youNoCoCraig and vikingswen Thank this. -
I'm going to have a talk with someone above the dispatch. I don't quit easily. I'm not having the experience others have here, maybe a different driver manager/ dispatcher would do a lot of good. It's to the point where I don't even care to get out of bed knowing he's going to dick me around. I know that some people at Gordon read my thread, so, you guys have my number. Work with me here.
The Challenger Thanks this. -
He's told me that drivers don't want to go over to reefer side due to the issues...hope you get them cleared up so you can put in the miles that you should have.joseph1135 Thanks this. -
They have the frieght. I'm just not getting it. I'm here to work. Not sit at a terminal. I have a tv at my house. I'm not going to be a dick and mention anyone's name. But I've gotten an attitude for asking questions I need answers to. I'm going to talk to someone.
The Challenger Thanks this. -
As I have mentioned before I have been with gti 4 years and there is no way I would run reefer here. Ran reefer over 4 years before coming to gordon and was warned upfront and went with dry side. I know people who told them if they didn't get moved over they were leaving the company and they moved them. That's not to say everything is perfect there but I am always moving.

Joseph forgive me if you dicussed this further, I read the entire thread but its so butchered and half of the posts are missing. Did you say you hardly ever run West? I figured a west coast company would run that way a lot.
joseph1135 Thanks this. -
