I went to C-1 and then to USA. It was a very mixed bag of good/bad put together. I ended up working at USA Truck for 2 years, then going to Schneider National- and the difference was like night and day! I loved Schneider, and wish I had started with them, instead. I am not going to sit here and bash the school or USA- I think with places that large, there are people who are extremely satisfied and others who describe them as nightmares from h#!!. It all depends on too many factors. If you read the rip off reports carefully, you can usually weed out the ones with the legitimate complaints from those who are just not wanting to accept the fact that they are responsible for their failures. I myself have been running for a small company who has lost a lot of work lately- so I have lost my dedicated run. So I am returning to Schneider next week as a rehire- and think I will stay there for the remainder of my career. You should consider giving them a try after going to school. If you go to USA after school and are not happy there, and go to Schneider, you can still get your schooling paid for (Schneider does this, too- you just must have a CDL to get hired there. They will put you in a training truck). Good luck in whatever direction you decide to go! And thank you for your service.

I am sorry to hear that, because they are a good company. You would think with all the loads they send to the NE, there would be plenty of positions open for you! What part of the NE are you in?

TMC has a military apprenticeship program. They are in DesMoine, Iowa. They run primarily east of I-35 and into the northeast quite a bit..
