i would say stevens of the three. i started there and even though i had previous otr experience it was in a car hauler and i learned a lot of stuff i had not known before. they do micro manage which im not happy with so i moved on.

Thanks Newtrucker83. I have heard good things about Roehl. What kind of mileage can a new driver get? How is their equipment? Is it good training?
-
Sounds like you've got it all planned out. Sorry I can't help you with your choices just wanted to say it's nice to see some planning for a change.

Thanks GasHauler, I am trying to plan it out. My father inlaw actually hauls gas locally here in Columbus Ohio. My plan is to find a company at that I can get some good training and miles at for at least 2 years, and then apply there.

Well I just got my Class A this week and I have Orientation with Knight Refrigerated in Columbus, OH. So if you haven't made up your mind in the next week or so I can let you know how orientation goes or something.
-
Good luck with whichever company you decide to go with.

I worked for Stevens 13 years ago. I will say this about them, if they are now like they were then, they will run you.
-
That would be awesome! I won't be ready to go till mid August so I would love to hear about your experience with Knight. Good luck!

Definately. I was considering them or going to US Xpress etc. but I already had this orientation set up like 2 weeks ago and liked what the recruiter had to say for the most part true or not. So Im going to roll with it and put in my year or so and see how it turns out.
