Ummm, yeah....we already had this info (i think most truckers do). Have the app too. The issue wasn't only full parking lots. We were also out of minutes on the QC. But thanks anyway :biggrin_2556:

There is the horseshoe casino in New Albany, IN. Not sure if you can get a truck and trailer in, a friend of mine bobtails occasionally. Could always call and ask. Just go in and eat and lose $15 or $20 so you aren't abusing the privilege.

I used to park in and around Louisville all the time, nothing like that ever happened to me. Guess I got lucky.

You say "We". Are you running team? According to the FMCSA you are to schedule your appts accordingly or adapt your work schedule where you don't get trapped. Ideally you arrive at the customer the night before and do the delivering at the beginning of your shift but I know it doesn't always work that way.

Twice I've politely told security I'm out of driving hours. I'll leave but if I'm involved in a wreck they are going to sue me and you both. That gets them thinking and they made special accommodations for me. It's worth a try.

Another trick is to find the industrial area of town. Usually there is somewhere you can hide even if it's another business with an uncontrolled receiving area. I have hid amongst other drivers.

Yeah they have truck parking. You continue on the main drag past the casino and the truck/RV lot is on the other side of it past the parking garage. Nobody bothers you out there. In fact you take a shortcut walking through the garage to get to the casino. Great poker room.

Thanks every one for your input. I have been through the Louisville area a few times since and parked in truck stops with no trouble. I think that one was purely circumstantial. Thanks again!
