Depends on what you are looking for. Where you live? And what you expect out of a trucking company. We haul a lot of our own product so you can expect to sit and wait after unloading in the morning for a load that is not due out until the next day or that night. A company that is not a private carrier might have a load for you that morning and you can be rolling. But lot of those companies also have accounts to where they have a lot of night time freight so they may have you wait until that night to pick up a fed ex load. So it's a trucking company and I enjoy it, and I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. But some people need more miles and don't have the patience to do the waiting.

Not sure if they changed it or not, but I know when I started the students were only getting 300 a week while in training. So if your family can handle that you should be fine. Also if live on a major route you can probably get by the house more, and if not your home time might not always be on the day you put in for it.
