Well I put a new fitting on (old one I had in my tool box) and it seems to have worked so far. I'm going to get a new feed line and quick connect fitting tomorrow and see how it goes. If not, then I'll just rebuild it when I get home.

Well, the new fitting seems to have done the trick so far. Only traveled 50 miles so far, but it isn't not locking up anymore. I got a nice new quick connect fitting and put it on and hopefully that is all it needed. I appreciate all the help and info. i priced a new Kit Masters here in Idaho Falls and it was $375 my cost.... so i might do a rebuild when I put the new radiator in this fall.

Well, the fan clutch is still messing up so my fix didn't work. My MPG are down to about 5.2 now and I won't be home for 10 more days. Looks like I get to spend $700 extra in fuel now as well. Oh yippie!!!

That sucks... The noise alone would drive me nuts....... I've always felt that when a component is weak it's best to fix ASAP . So it doesn't bit you in the butt.

maybe an early return home , or a rebuild on the road is in order.

Real Deal is right but add this,Think about it costing you far more than $700 if the bearings are failing and the fan ends up through your radiator.:biggrin_25510:

It operates fine, just had a seal leaking air that causes the fan to run more. I am thinking I might fix it once I get to Houston since I'll have a day off between loads. If not, then I'll just do it when I get home.

Now when you talk about a reman unit, is that the entire thing???
