Anyone ever built a motor that has been a truck that cab burnt up? The paint on block is still there but the head did get hot enough from fire to crack. Is this something to stay away from or not.

If it cracked a head, I would not want to mess with it. Maybe if I needed a crank, and was very cheap.
dunctrk379 Thanks this. -
That's kind of what I was thinking. Just wanted different opinions

Thanks guys I'm going to leave it where it sits. That's what I was thinking looking at it. I once built a 305 sbchevy that was in a car that burnt up and guess what didn't last 2000 miles before spinning main bearing. I kinda figured that motor would be same issue if not worse. The head looks awful on this C-15 but the block still has paint all the way from head down to pan. I just thought it may possibly be some good but that's why I ask for all your opinions and I greatly appreciate it
