    ...first breakdown.

I had intended to post pics last night of some very "fun" industrial drums that were a bugger to tarp. Also had a "fun" tiny yard to turn around in. Told the guy it was my first day. He said even if that's true you're doing better than most that come in here.

But sitting out in the sun waiting for TA is even more fun!

    i can't wait for day 3.

At least you have a great attitude. Every day won't be like that. Besides, that yard guy gave you a HUGE compliment. Well done, man. Well done.

I agree with Puppage! Good job! The first week or two is TOUGH, full of issues. You will get thru it and become a great driver.

And day 3 brings heat stroke...or something awful and debilitating. I haven't seen anything above 80 in Chicago yet this year. It's 93 here South of New Orleans.

Breakdown was air loss in front/passenger trailer brakes. They locked, blew both tires. That was fun!

I'm happy to report that today ended with a minor victory. I pulled into a Pilot very much looking forward to a long overdue shower. I knew it was a smallish one and I knew that the evening hour would mean slim parking.

I spied an end spot that didn't look too tricky. A friendly neighbor spotted for me. Turns out it was much tighter than I accounted for and also had to fight another truck that was nosed out into the aisle. I got in with some fuss but not major. I got out, thanked him and chatted a bit.

He said, "Dang, son! I can tell you been doin' this for some time." I said, "you're gonna laugh when I tell you this...it's my 4th day."

His eyes got real big, "#####, son! You musta had some trainer!"

I think sometimes I'm not quite smart enough to know what things I can't do.

    I needed the boost.
