Add curb weight and trailer weight...actual weights...add them together subtract from GCWR...and you will know what you can haul without going over the manufactor GCWR...which when its comes to it really can't haul much going by dodges rating with a dually depending on tranny and engine the GCWR gonna range from 17000-26000...so roughly 12,000lbs on the trailer is what you can haul. Reason for GCWR is you wreck you can't blame dodge...

It's a very good question and you can back it by using the green pocketbook. You can get one at the truck stop. If you have problems PM me and I'll send you their address and buy one right from them.

I have seen a lot of setups hauling bobcats and others but with the book you'll know about the bigger stuff and be legal. Even if you're over by a few that officer that pulled you over might be really impressed on the book you're using for reference. I would.

Is the truck a gasser or diesel? Manual or Automatic? Truck has a GCWR between 17000 and 23000 lbs depending on configuration.

  7. It is a diesel with a 6 speed manual, it has air bags and helper springs in the rear with air bag assist in the front.

Airbags and helper springs make no difference in GCVRW. They add to the lift of your vehicle only. Vehicle GW is what the MFG sets.
