This guy is trying to bypass the employee rules if this is not your truck.

If he is treating you as an independent contractor and you don't own the truck, he is violating the IRS rules.

 

If you do not own the truck, Yes, RUN RUN RUN!!! What he is doing is illegal and it will come back at YOU!!!

 

I agree run like heck away from that job. The guy is trying to get you as a Owner and not a company driver. Think about this. You do one of the most stressful jobs there are (Driving Truck) and stress is very bad for your health. And without insurance if you need any surgery it could mean you are in deep crap without insurance.

Go to the health section of this forum and read some of the health problem we Drivers have then tell me you want to take a job that doesn't offer insurance.

Also, think about one other thing on the Taxes he doesn't take out. Remember every year when you get a tax check in the mail. Well now you won't receive that. You instead with be sending them a check. I know I did that. Why because instead of taking out a little every week and putting it in a account, I spent it or used it for something else. Which is what most people would do. So, as I said I would run the other way very fast. There are plenty of Companies out there that will offer Insurance and Take Taxes out. Don't Take This Job. I think you will regret it!!
