I like Schneider, but that's quite funny. They're so confident in the truck they think it will last until Friday, not being driven, without breaking down.

Seriously, good luck with it. I wouldn't touch a 2009 truck myself, but there's no reason to think one from SFI would be any worse than from anywhere else.

    Knight_Rider Thanks this.

Alright guys second day of orientation went by somewhat like the first. Went over few other company things. Had speakers explaining the greatness of Schneider etc etc and then a bunch of free time in between.

2 guys were sent home due to failing the driving test that we all had to do with a trainer before lunch.

I, unfortunately am still going around in circles between my lease rep and the third part mechanic shop they send trucks to as well as kenworth dealer. They both did oil tests and found nothing wrong only like I keep telling them that I find it hard to believe that there is milky substance in the oil and that is normal emulsion by cat engines.

Its starting to seem as if they just don't want to own up to their mess up of not thoroughly having truck tested out. I'm starting to think about either going onto to get a new t680 and hope to talk them into giving me one without the down payment or else just completing orientation and going home for couple weeks see if I can find another better truck. If not then just go back to my old company.

It sucks but that's about how frustrated I have become. Lets hope for the best.

If it's an '09, and it's CAT powered, you'd be wise to pass this truck up. '08 and up CAT's are the worst engines to own due to constant emissions problems. The base engine itself isn't bad, but the DPF and CGI systems are constant nightmares. It's tough enough to make a go of it in a lease purchase program, and if you try to do it with an '08+ CAT engine, you WILL go broke.

What are your payments a week? I thought about doing the choice program an getting one of those new evolutions myself. Sweet looking ride and boasts 10 mpg! Serious money savings right there.

It's 798 for the truck and 100 for maint so that's 898 for the truck and when you figure in all the insurance and Etc its gonna be about $1200 a week. I go to schneider Monday so I can give u the actual amount then

Even at 1200 a week, if you ran 2500 miles a week at .90 + .39 fuel surcharge that's still a net of 2000 if I do my math correctly. Even if ya take off another 500 for misc stuff that's still a net of 1500 a week. That's about double what I make now as a company driver.

The 1200 is only for truck note and insurance.. You still gotta add about 1200 for fuel.

Plus I don't plan on moving freight that cheap with % my min would be 1.40 and that's if it's a light load and puts me in a good area for a better paying load

I thought if you don't have experience as a o/o then you had to start on the mileage program.
