I have a phillips tv I bought at walmart,)249.00 and I could have got a cheaper one if I did it over, best investment I have bought for trucking , the trucks have a antenna jack connection for it and with the new digital tv signal you get great pictures and lots of channels ie.104 in houston, 21 here in minneapolis .You will work quite a bit during the day and eat at night , for me books are boring and I watched almost every movie on netflix and wasted a lot of money on crappy internet doing it. TV makes you feel like you are at home a lot more normal when your on the road, truck stop tv lounges are awful 99% of the time and with you being a woman you will get tired of all the extra attention you get I am sure if you go in them. Everybody is different , tv works for me.

*Snort* I'm not the sort who garners attention so no worries there. I just didn't realize there was a digital signal you could plug into in the trucks. WAY cool to know. I may trade my boy his small 19" for my 30 to put in the truck since I'll be away more than home if there's a way to make sure I can keep up with my shows. I did have one question kicking around for you or Noggin (HI Noggin!) .... I'm nocturnal by nature and my natural sleep cycle has me wanting to sleep in the afternoon and be wide awake at midnight to morning. Will I have to adjust my sleep cycle to work with this or can I adjust my drive schedule to it? (Obviously I know I can't while training as I have to keep to the trainer's schedule)

You can make that your schedule if you can make it work. Just remember most shippers and receivers have bankers hours. Mostly 7-3 some later. Melton will schedule your delivery as early as possible.

And a lot of truckers don't care what you look like. If there is no kickstand, you'll get attention.

That's almost exactly what Mike said when he called today (Gah y'all call #### early) Looks like I'll be doin the banker hour thing myself. Sucks. Breaks a lovely streak of 15 years of sleeping while the rest of the world turned. :D

Now to decide what the heck to take with me next week...

I still gotta just sign the release to get my last company to verify but they wanted me to wait til i got qualified to call so it didnt cost me a job. I was supposed to have went last month but decided to try to stick it out where I am now but that was a mistake.

Sometimes that happens. If it didn't then this forum in it's whole would be utterly dead I think. :D
