Hello all, I need some advice please. I have two offers one is an OTR from Roehl the other is a dedicated with Schneider just in the southeast Roehl starts at .32 com and Schneider is .26 com and I get paid 55 dollars to unload the truck. And should unload 4 times a week. I dont know if Schneider has apu's or not.. That would weigh slot on my decision. Any opinions would be appreciated.

Idk much about Schneider, what is the dedicated account? I worked for Roehl for almost a yr and I liked it. Being from GA you could probably run southeast regional out of Ellenwood, and have more options to what you wanted to do, van, reffer, flatbed or curtainside.

    rdean1109 Thanks this.

Its a JC Penny account.... 5 days out... was told it would be around 1800 to 2000 miles a week.

rdean1109: While I work for Schneider now as an O/O, I used to work for them when I first got out of CDL school. First I was on a dedicated Ford account and it was great, but it was a team account. When I lost my team driver, I switched to their Sears dedicated account at the 0.26 cpm and it was 5 days out, no touch. Unless their company trucks have changed (I stay out of the OC's as much as possible) they only have Wabasto heaters, not APU's. To put it bluntly, I hated being on the Sears account. SE regional, always going to tight malls etc, Sears employees acting like they didn't even want me there, yadda yadda yadda. I don't know anything about Roehl, but sounds like you'll probably enjoy it more and make more money doing it. Best of luck!

If your out only five days your prob not gonna do 3 or 4 loads in that time depending on how far you have to drive too and from the dc plus your unload time.

    Tovya,
I know this is an old thread and you might not be around but it's worth a shot. How was the team ford account there's an opening in my area for that position? Miles, hometime, etc...
