Why you trying to Transfer the Antenna?
Your best bet would be get 2 Separate Antennas, one for the Car and one for the Truck.

You could keave it inside the Truck, but I have never had any luck with it like that.
Also your best bet is to get a truck Antenna anyway.
Also if you do that, just get 2 Separate Car Kits,.

 

I would be lost w/out mine. You can purchase from Sirius,or T/S,or Best Buy a portable that you can tote it all. All you do is plug it into the next radio,OR if it doesn't have correct aux,all you have to do is find the right frequency and tune that baby in...(very easy once you do it,and if it gets "staticky" from other stations coming thru,all you do is find another channel on the "installed radio) ..
Then you are off and running ,be sure to turn to " Road Dawg"
The only problem I have with it is when Im out of my truck or car and not able to listen anymore,lol so I purchased the online also...lol So if I'm home I just tune in online on my ipad.

 

I posted a response but the "automatic robot thought I was a spammer ...lol but anyway great idea bout the extra antenna,that will save ALOT of aggregation,besides I don't think the antenna that comes with the kit is such a good antenna... Do you have the one that attaches to your mirror? I think that one would be better than the tiny one ,no?

 

I have no issue with the stock hocky puck antenna. Works fine and saves you $60

I've had problems with the hockey pucks when it rains. Tried two different ones and lose reception sometimes with those.
Gotta get me a truck antenna.

 

20 dollars will give you every thing you need for your second car its call a dock kit. stock antana works great for me never an issue and I run all the states east of missisippi just make sure it is mounted flat in a horizontal postion it comes with 16 feet of wire on antana. got mine on top of my sleeper its magnectic and the top of my sleeper is not metal so I attached Velcro to antana and rig never a problem. wire is concealed and looks better than on mirror. just my 2 cents

 

Those Truck Antennas are $70-80 at the TS.
You can get them much cheaper online at places like Amazon.
