I recently applied for the PSD program at PRIME. Here is my question. I was given diversion on a domestic battery charge in 2011. I completed the diversion and the case was dismissed. However it still shows up on a background check. Am i still eligible ? Also i was laid off in February and have been unemployed since. Does this hurt me ? Any input greatly appreciated ! Thanks

Call the recruiters number and talk to one of the recruiters.

I was upfront with the recruiter and even e-mailed the DA's dismissal of the case. But i haven't heard anything back from them. So im ugh little nervous that i didnt qualify.

Call prime and ask for Tabitha. Wait for her to call you back.....

Gracie is also a great recruiter email was the best way of contact I found when I started with prime

Yes, and yes. The domestic battery charge shows a tendency toward violence and lack of self-control, both traits that work against you trying to get into Prime. While this doesn't make you a bad person necessarily, the isolation and stress that come with this job tend to magnify these things. The unemployment also counts against you... stretches of unemployment over a couple of months is something that won't put you in the top group of applicants.
This being said, apply anyway and see what happens. You never know... good luck! -
Ouch, Reality Check....... "Reality is just a crutch for people who can't handle drugs."
