My local KW dealer parts have this branding on the packaging now. Is this the KW equivalent of Freightliner's Alliance brand?
morehp Thanks this. -
I wonder what they are using ? Anyone ever price any of it ?
-
TRP is the parts division off Paccar.
morehp Thanks this. -
Yes they rebrand every part they sell as TRP now, I'm wondering if the engine parts are genuine or aftermarket brand to start with.
-
Don't know who the supplier is on the cat parts. If it's not cat I'm sure they will be ticked off at paccar.
Any idea how the price compares to cat ? -
I'm not sure but it will be alot dearer in my kneck of the woods, than your end . If someone could get some pricing posted it would be GREAT

Our Pete sale rep told me about these kits about a month ago and said they are Interstate-McBee. Looking at page 5 of that link you posted confirms that. I've never use a TRP overhaul kit, but I've used several from Interstate-McBee and never had an issue. The next time we need an overhaul kit, I was planning on pricing them to compare to out normal supplier, but I haven't needed one (knock on wood).
I can say that I'm 99% sure that the price is better than Cat.morehp Thanks this. -
with the way cat parts quality has been lately. cant be any worse. a buddy of mine just rebuilt a e-model with ipd rebuild kit, and so far it has been doing great.

I've used IPD in a couple b models and have never had any issues. I do use a genuine cat head gasket kit though. Some of the b models have been pretty turned up a d still living. It would be interesting to know who makes cats pistons and liners for them.
