by pulling for a strong and documented percentage of the load.paid by the mile just never seemed profitable for me over the years.

The money making is pretty much up to the driver where I work. Some drivers work all the time and some do very little. It's all there if you want it but there's some drivers that will turn down an extra $30,000 - $40,000 just because they don't want to drive more than 6 or 7 hours a day. I'm one of them.

You'll never make good money with a leased truck by the mile pay. Percentage on high dollar freight or your own customers without brokers is where it's at.

That's what our hourly drivers get. That money is chump change compared to our scheduled road drivers get millage pay. Which is roughly $11+ more on the hour with 10x less work involved.

I wonder what Costco pays it's employees ...
-
They say the average is $17 an hour. They say it's 42% higher than walmarts average but I'm not so sure. Sams is Costcos competition not Walmart. I believe sams employees are paid a little more than wamarts. I know people that's paid better than $17 at Walmart. Walmart has much more employees than Costco which means they have more toilet scrubbing jobsairforcetoo Thanks this.

I meant net weekly $1500-$2000 as a team... If we could avg that or better after the 1st yr We will be happy .. our goal is to be able to save $50,000 a yr ..

Thought so. I think $2000 may be shooting high. $1200 to $1500 is much more vCard realistic.

I don't know how you figure it's less. I'm bring home $1650 a week way back in 98.
