The fuel bonus is paid for getting good fuel milage. I'm not entirely sure where the bottom is.. It's above 7 mpg for sure these days.

The better your fuel milage, the more of that .05 you get... The minnimum pays .001/mile, slide that scale up and the max (9mpg-ish) is .05

The NE fleet is a different ball game. The runs are shorter and mileage average is lower than running 48 states. So if you are reading about Prime guys running 27-2900 miles a week, they're probably running 48. NE guys are running less miles, hence the extra .05.

Yep, it's 36 cpm to start after qualifying for A-seat solo in the reefer division. As was previously stated, 5-cpm bonus for company driver in a "lightweight," 5-cpm paid on loads running in the NE region (if you're outside of the NE you won't get that on those loads,) and a variable fuel bonus for company drivers only that is supposed to top out at 5-cpm. Although Sir Chuck the Miserly wid da Fuel got 5.3 the other day. As much as 51-cpm out the gate. A reasonable average for a company guy running solo is 2000 to 2400 miles per week, but there will be weeks you rack up over 3000.

Part of that NE bonus is there because of the shorter runs up that way, so they make up for it with the NE-regional bonus. A full year running solo can get you in the neighborhood +/- $50,000.00 gross, before taxes. Without the lightweight and northeast bonuses, and a lower starting rate per mile, I was at $47,000 and $49,000 gross for the two full years I ran on the company side.

Chuck thank you so much for the info Bud. I'm changing careers because I wasn't making enough money and I just want to make a good decision on a company because i'm in it for stability I have a wife and 3 kids. Does Prime keep you moving? How many miles would I get a week?

From Prime? Yes. I don't know any details, but I've had a couple trainees that were getting some form or amount of reimbursement for having graduated from on outside school.
