I've got two points on my record that just popped up from tickets six years ago!!!

    And are these tickets that you have just ignored, and are only now catching up to you?

    Gotcha!

    Because if they are, you may also have warrants for arrest as well.

    No, they were paid off about two years ago. I had to pay them off in order for California to give me my license. photo.jpg

    That's why you got the points. You waited too long to pay them off. It is likely that the other state suspended your license, and issued the points when your license was reinstated. A ticket is not a conviction. It is a summons. Paying the ticket is admitting guilt.

    get a a job as a yard switcher/jockey never worry bout dot,scales,tickets,traffic,cops make 18-20 an hour with ot after 8 and go home at the end of the day. a little boring for some

    What got you is the conviction date. I had a similar experience recently with my car insurance. They explained that it didn't matter when the citation was written they charge you for 3 years from the conviction date.
