Trucking Jobs in 30 seconds
Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.

Me too. That would include fueling and all.Ghost Ryder Thanks this.

Then you are actually over the road drivers. You might be running local or whatever. But I wouldn't consider that being over the road. There's no way you're home every night, working 8 hours a day and home every weekend driving over the road.

I'm sure regional drivers that are home every weekend with also a night home during the week really have their feelings hurt when they are told they are not really over the road drivers .Ghost Ryder and airforcetoo Thank this.

Yep I'm crushed not being OTR. Maybe I should quit my 6 figure job and go to a CDL mill/mega co. On reflection I prolly couldn't make the cut. Oh well guess I can dream.
Ghost Ryder and airforcetoo Thank this. -
Yes you obviously need to do this. Actually it might be easier for your employer if you give me all of your employers pertinent info I will let them know you had to move on I would even be willing to help them transition into a new employee.okiedokie Thanks this.

Ok. Everyone loves to quote this with no explanation. I've got GPS, atlas, smartphone. I do quickest route. I drive 10-10.75 hrs. I don't dilly dally with breaks here, breaks there. I grab something to eat when I fuel. I go into sleeper when loading/uploading takes more than 15 min.
So explain to me how much more time management can be done. And trip planning? What are the tips and tricks?
Thank youMNdriver Thanks this. -
Running your time out like that does more harm than good. You'll end up getting paid more if you can stretch your 70 hr clock 8 days instead of running out of hours having to do a reset every week.

I don't know about you but I invariably end up with a sit and wait day. Something like deliver at 1000 and pickup right next door at 1500. Those days I barely run any time and it makes up for my 11+ hour drive days. I run hard when there's running to do and only take 1-2 resets a month. Really if you can run out your 70 in 6 days and take a 34 every week you are running more miles, but its hard to work that out where I am now. I did it for a couple months and every week was ~3400 miles. Can't do that in a 65 mph truck if you're only doing 70 hrs every 8 days.airforcetoo Thanks this.
