    Hey, Just a question ...
I started CDL training yestorday, And today noticed my medical card is only good for one year.
The reason being listed is Hypertension, At the time of my exam my BP was 120/84 which is excellent !
But i did list my BP medication on the form.

My question is.. Will a perspective employer take issue with a one year medical card ?

Thanks for any insight you can provide.

No they shouldn't. That's pretty standard. If there is anything wrong with you at the time of your physical they usually will only issue a one year pass instead of two. You could just go to a different doctor and not list your meds and they should give you a two year pass.

Most wont you have it under control. Depending on the company they may not even look at the long form. Secretary stuffs it in your personal jaket and until the computer flags you to get a new one no one cares

Got my physical Mon. First time. One year if you have ANY medications listed.
If you didnt list them and get into any type of accident or incident and they check, you'd be screwed.
Good luck in school. I get to start to commence to begin learning how to go backwards tomorrow!
    Take care

Sometimes they will ask you to get a letter from your Doctor saying your BP is under control but these days if you can walk in you are just fine.

Some advice if I may; watch your trailers wheels not the back of your trailer. Drive them and you will be just fine

If you are taking BP medication you can only get a one-year medical card. As far as perspective employers, most will probably want to do their own physical with their own doctor, at which point you'll get a new one-year card, but I don't know of any company that would give you any trouble over it as long as your BP is below 140/90.
