Voided load is usually a load cancelled by the shipper not dispatch

Oh and my week involved a rejected skid of water. 35 cases of 6 one gallon jugs that the receiver just had to replace all the way to the front of the trailer. Had one hour to get rid of, went to a pilot and started carrying it back to the doors and giving it away. #### truckers would take it but only one guy, when I had four cases left, offered to help me carry it back to the doors.

It's not the greatest but not the worst. Ideally if you want to run recap, try to shoot for 8-9 hours a day. We all know how that goes of course. After your bad hour days, once you get to a big hour day, run 8-9 if you can to try and balance out your recap. All depends on your appointment times. When I come off of a reset, my first day is usually a big hour day and then go based on what my work load dictates. That way, my first day that I get back, I have hours to work with.

Recap isn't hard but can make you stress on appt times. For me to be totally honest I'd rather run my 70 and be done. We're paid for resets on the road might as well use it. The most I have done is 19 days on recap. I was exhausted and starting to make stupid mistakes.

Yeah recapping doesn't seem like the best idea if you're only getting 12 back in 48 hours. Maybe use that first 6 to get some place or make a delivery if you need to, but ehh... Why not just spend 36 and get all 70 back?

But yeah, you've got the general idea down. With the new HOS it might begin to make more sense to either run your hours hard and go home every weekend or try to hit no more than 10 hours a day and just recap until you can't anymore.

That's what I've been doing lately, burning through my hours, taking the reset. I like running recap just because I can't stand sitting for any reason. I'll let you know when I'm ready for the break. But the reset pay doesn't hurt though. Running on recap can wear on you, I'll agree on that. Especially waiting for midnight to get hours back to just barely make a delivery.

Yeah I like burning thru my 70 in 5-6 days and then reset. But that luxury will end in 2 weeks. Thought I try recap to get used to it. Caused me more stress. Had to tcall good miles cause hrs ran out...

Just don't know if dispatcher will like me sending Qualcomm every morning of how many hrs I have for the day so he can do the math before sending me ppl's.

Don't you already send your previous day HOS every morning anyway?

I'm glad I'm not the only one that wonders if anyone actually looks at the previous days HOS.
