I only work 50-55 hours if that doing line haul. Depending on my runs and the traffic I hit I might even only do 45-50. All it is is drop and hook for us. Paid for everything. When I was doing p/d I was doing 55-60 hours per week busting my butt and making a 100-200 less. Line haul like CWF and FDX you will hit your 70 every week.
As far as having a life goes I got more free time now then when I was doing P/Dcrb Thanks this. -
It all depends on the P/D outfit. Not all of them are the same, especially when you start to compare union vs non-union shops. I'm a P/D driver at a union shop. I work 40 hrs a week and average more gross than what most line haul drivers would get working the same hours.

we are union as well, when I worked non-union they tried kicking us out before overtime started, at the union company(YRC) they would find you work if you fimnished early, I usually averaged 11-12 hours a day, sometimes more
