I have always hated the N.W. in the winter but loved it is the summertime.

New York City and all of Long Island just isn't made for trucks in general and they don't mark their bridges correctly. I drove it local for 2 years and it was the worst.

Los Angels would have to be second simply for the traffic.

Boston is crazy because they allow cars to use the breakdown lane which makes it very interesting when you are trying to exit and the cars in the breakdown are not exiting.

Even if you were able to land $10 per mile? I know the likely hood of that happening is slim to none.

They had some stuff pretty close to that when the big hurricane hit last year.. I turned it down left and right. I was pulling in profitable rates and home about every night at the time. Not rates as good as the ones going up there, for that storm havoc short term period, but very good rates nonetheless. I'm all about hanging out at the house. wish I was able to do that now. I think maybe competitors reading here caught on and drove me back to the road... hey I'm all for competitors working for nothing and going broke they're welcome to it... Anyways, northeast, left coast - man they can have their freight rot for all I care lol.. I do well enough in the places I run.. ..I just knew somebody was gonna ask that :) Some of our other trucks capitalized off that storm..

Stop all this whinning for christ sakes. You drivers need to put on your Big Boy Panties and Buck Up..Get your Candy Asssses to the Bronx and LIKE IT and LOVE IT.Be a MAN for christ sakes.Grab the bull by the horns and do the dam job you were taught to do...

You guys are part of the ''elite'' and will go where no mans gone before. You will get down and dirty in the slums of the Northeast. You will become the City and Like it.You will go above and beyond the duty of a REAL ELITE TRUCKER.You will love the gangs, the hookers and the essence of sewer filling the air.You will become the GHETTO and like it.You will go to the dirty slums of Camden and become a ''city dweller''...DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME ELITE TRUCKERS..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:biggrin_25522:...I here another driver crying about the Northeast i will have to step out of my truck...and i assure you,you don't want that.Because i am wearing my Cowboy Boots,Toni Lama's..So knowing this i would reconsider your positions on ''where you go''...:biggrin_25525:

I've gone to nyc several times. I can do it, but I don't care to . So I plan to stay away. And staying out of the northeast altogether is fine with me.I spent the last few years running the south and midwest. Ok with me.

I was force dispatched all around the northeast as a company driver and o/o almost weekly, sometimes twice weekly for 10 long years. I paid my dues and then some.
