    And I like running west, but my truck will be noncompliant in CA after this year. So I guess I am done with CA until I decide to buy a new truck.

    There's alot of freight that orginates and stays in the middle of the country, seems to me that that is were the smart money is.

    There is plenty of freight in the middle of the country. Less traffic. Less hills. Less tolls . More parking. Less dumb laws. And better $$$ . I like the west. But 55 mph speed limits and big fines for stuff that doesn't matter. You don't really need to run the coasts. And I still have those chains hanging on the side of my truck and i'm not afraid to use 'em.
