Can you post a side shot of your super truck with where the 5th wheel is? I would like to see if its centered between the tandems or not. Thanks

Pictures take me a while as I'm not high tech.
But I can tell you, my 5th wheel is not centered between the axles but centered over the rear axle, if not an inch or two behind that. I think having 5th wheel behind helps in turning radius, like having it forward which I can't do.
My biggest problem on pictures is getting the file size down. -
If your using a computer with Windows just open the file with Paint (Start > All Programs > Accessories > Paint) and then click on Resize.
You can then resize it down by percentage or pixels, just leave the Maintain aspect ration check box checked so that it doesn't get distorted and save it under a new name so that you still have the original. -
I beleive in the work smarter not harder and 300" wb is on the harder side I'll stick to my 239". Seen too many of them guys fighting and sweating getting into some places. Even made $50 to put a trailer in for a guy once dont know how he got it back out didnt hang around to see.
-
219" Columbia with a passenger side sleeper window. When you blindside it, you can do a shoulder check and see the back of your trailer. Pretty awesome. I've gotten into so many parking spots and docks that people just have up on because they were facing the wrong way or were just too tight.

I've never paid anyone to put my trailer in a spot. And rarely have any trouble putting into spots. Yes I'm little long actually 81' long.
But I don't have to wait to take a shower. In the evenings, I take a pizza out of the freezer, throw in the oven while I take a shower. Makes great for parking at shippers or receivers. No need for a truckstop. All I need is fuel stops. Really makes comfrontable living on the road. Once you have a large sleeper, no going back to a smaller truck. -
What's the tractor weigh with a half tank?
-
My tractor weighs 24K. Gives me a payload of 42,500. Also doesn't create any problem or keeps me from getting loads.

Thanks for the input. You are speaking my language; work smart not hard!. This is not my first rodeo. I'm presently doinging heavy equipment on a tri-axle 48 footer that always has a challenge hidden in it. I want to spend my remaining years with a dry van and minimum stress! . I had in the back of my mind anything under 240 inches I like the idea of going even smaller.
-
I find flat bedding to be less stress than dry van. I don't have to put up with people at docks. The construction equipment people usually want their stuff and want to unload their stuff. And with a flat, actually step, I get mostly banker hours. No loading or unloading appointment at 2 am.
But hey everyone has their different opinions and views.
